P.V. Ramana Murthy

P.V.Ramana Murthy, working as Assistant Lecturer in Mridangam in Sri Thyagaraja Government College of Music & Dance, Ramkot, Hyderabad since August 1999 is a Son & Disciple of Veteran Mridanga Vidwan Late Sri Pulletikurthy Rama Rao Garu- (Retd AIR, Hyderabad Mridangam Staff Artist).

Started learning Mridangam at the age of four & started performing in concerts since the tender age of Eleven.

• Passed Diploma in Mridangam with distinction from Telugu university, Hyderabad
• "Sangeetha Alankar” (All India Gold Medalist) in Mridangam, from Gandharva- Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai.
• "A" Graded Artiste both in Mridangam & Ghatam by All India Radio & Doordarshan.
• Awarded with “Kanchi Kama Koti Peeta Asthana Vidwan”in the year 2013 Accompanied on Mridangam & Ghatam to almost all of the stalwarts in all most all the places of India & few countries abroad.
• Performed in many prestigious National and international events like AIR & Doordarshan (National & South Zone Hook ups concerts), AIR Sangeeth Sammelanam and performed before many National & International Delegates and Telugu Prapancha- Mahasabhalu.
